Days Inn Corpus Christi Beach

We reported the loud party upstairs to the office at 1:30 a.m. The music kept going until 3, and I’m not sure anyone dealt with it. When I mentioned the rough night at checkout, the staff member just smiled and didn’t apologize. The beds were lumpy, and the elevator wasn’t working either. Days Inn needs to put some care into this hotel. A paint job alone won’t fix it.

We paid $150 for one room with two beds, and it was infested with roaches and other bugs. Only one light and one outlet worked. We tried moving to another room, but that one was worse, with a dead-animal smell and stains all over the beds. The manager refused our refund, so we left. There were also men outside asking strange questions and wanting to know where we were from.

The roof is falling apart, and the room looked like it hadn’t been cleaned before we arrived. There were cockroaches, pubic hair on Q-tips, popcorn on the bed, and stains all over the sheets. Don’t come here.

The room stayed cool, and after getting sandy at the beach, the walk-in shower was handy. We had a great one-day trip with the kids: the beach view was what I wanted, and it was an easy walk there. There’s also a nice park two blocks up the street for them. It was quiet at night, so we slept well. The pool was clean and a perfect temperature, and there’s a barbecue area. The washers and dryers were a dollar and worked out great. Breakfast ran until 9 a.m.; the kids had cereal and I had coffee. The office staff were great too. We’ll definitely come back when we visit.
