Extended Stay America Suites Corpus Christi Staples

Roaches were crawling all over the room, and the sheets had cigarette burns and stains. As soon as we walked in, there was a nauseating mix of stale smoke and bleach, like someone was trying to cover up the filth. We reported it, but the staff didn’t try to fix anything or move us. They just asked us to check out. It felt like they knew the place was uninhabitable. Worst hotel experience of my life. Do not stay here under any circumstances.

The non-smoking room reeked of cigarettes, and roaches were everywhere. I checked out four hours early. Things had seemed fine until the lights went off, then my roommate struggled so much just to shower that it sounded like they were fighting the walls. While they were in the shower, I saw a roach a foot from my face on the headboard. I went downstairs and quietly showed them at least 10 pictures of live and dead cockroaches throughout the room. They said they’d speak to the manager. When I called a few hours later, I got the complete runaround. We had the two-bed suite. Don’t stay here.

The location was perfect for our frequent business meetings, but we’ll drive farther next time. We booked two nights in Corpus Christi for work and prepaid since we’d arrive late. When we got there, they’d downgraded our room without saying anything. After carrying everything upstairs, I went back to the front desk to get it sorted out, then had to move all our things again. It was very late, so we went to bed for an early meeting. In the morning, we saw how gross the place was: stained couch, sticky floor, red dye all over the shower curtain, almost no water pressure, and a toilet that wouldn’t flush properly. We skipped breakfast because I didn’t even want coffee from a place with rooms that dirty. After our meeting, we packed up and left without using the second night we’d paid for. It’s definitely not worth $75-80 a night. They owe us a refund. We’ll never stay here again, which is a shame given the convenient location.

Whenever I’m in town, I stay here and have a phenomenal experience. Jennifer and the Assistant Manager are two of the most awesome people you’ll meet. The customer service, housekeeping, rooms, and atmosphere are all great. Keep it up!
