Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Corpus Christi Central

We visited Sept 2025, and the rooms were clean. They let us check in early, and breakfast ended at 10. We didn’t use the pool. White Cap is about 15 minutes away, though the other beaches are farther. I’d recommend this place for families. The reviews below didn’t match our experience.

The hotel is off the expressway and feels old, like it needs some TLC. The rooms were stuffy, and setting the thermostat to 67 didn’t help since it stayed at 73. I skipped breakfast.

Breakfast was already filthy in the morning, with full trash cans, no coffee, and no waffle batter. At exactly 9AM they roped off the whole area, even though people were still inside. How were guests meant to get out? I understand breakfast ends at 9am, but there was still lots of food and people were coming down to eat. Other hotels let guests finish what’s left, or at least don’t block everyone in right away. I wonder what they did with all the leftovers. The main hall smelled awful and the floors were sticky. During the day, caution tape blocked all the tables and chairs in the hall. Maybe it was to stop people sitting there or taking their high value breakfast, but I’ve never seen anything like it. The whole setup felt strange and unwelcoming. Poor management. I would never stay here again, and we’ll think twice before booking Fairfield again.

The walls were thick enough that noise didn’t come through, which I really appreciate after recently staying somewhere with paper thin walls. Breakfast was fresh and good, and the rooms seemed clean enough. It’s a good distance from North Beach and downtown, and not bad for one night at this price.
