Texan Hotel

After our two guests left, I asked for the $40 guest charge back since they weren’t staying there. The front desk man returned that money, but then refused to let me and my family, including our three kids, stay. We were back on the road at 1:40 a.m. trying to find a room, and I still haven’t received my refund. We’d tried to stay there this past weekend, but because our two guests were staying at a different hotel, they wanted to charge me for them. I explained they wouldn’t be staying, and the man at the desk was very rude and unprofessional. Avoid this place. I will never stay here.

We needed somewhere at the last minute, and other places were booked or expensive. This one was affordable and decent, with good customer service. It seems fairly new. The room had a nice paint job and flooring, good lighting inside and outside, and comfortable beds. The standing shower was nice, and I enjoyed a hot shower. They could use a better shower curtain and newer, bigger towels. Some guests upstairs stomped around and slammed doors, but I still got a good night’s sleep.

The quiet area was a plus, and the well-lit parking lot made me feel more secure. My room was clean and the beds were comfortable, so I had a great stay. The shower pressure was barely enough, which was my only complaint. Otherwise, I’d recommend staying here.

A friend and I stayed for a few days while visiting Corpus Christi. We nearly chose somewhere else because the surrounding area looked run down, though it seems Corpus Christi hasn’t done much to improve the look of many parts of town. The location worked perfectly for our visit. The owners were kind and respectful. The rooms turned out to be clean, spacious, and nicely decorated. They’re also affordable, so the stay didn’t break the bank. I’d recommend it.
