Star Inn Motel

I couldn’t sleep either of the two nights. They put me beneath someone who stomped around all night. The room smelled terrible, and the shower drain filled up after just a few minutes because there was no way to turn down the pressure. There was no room service, and I had to beg for fresh towels and a trash bag. This run-down motel was such a letdown. I wish I’d paid $20 more for a decent hotel.

Clean, quiet and restful, with spacious rooms. The orange county fairgrounds are across the street, and the beach is 10mins away.

My wife and I are looking for a new home and have stayed here for a week. The whole staff has been wonderful, welcoming and accommodating, and they know the area well. Don’t judge This book by its location. The rooms and exterior have been Totally Renovated. The only drawback for me is the occasional noise from 55, which is to be expected. We’ve already booked another week! (104)

For the price, I had a good night and would stay again. The bed was comfy, the shower warm and powerful, the room clean, the staff nice and respectful, and it was quiet overnight. Rooms are a bit bigger than average and slightly dated, though that didn’t bother me. The outside looks rundown and could use remodeling. I’d give it a solid 4 out of 5. There’s no deposit if you book with a credit card, so I can’t really complain.
