Hilton Garden Inn Omaha East/Council Bluffs

The hotel has a great vibe, with a big lobby and a bar and restaurant. It’s right by the Horseshoe Casino. The rooms are far better than I expected for the price, with very comfortable beds and excellent cleanliness throughout. Highly recommend.

The restaurant needs serious help. One person was trying to cook every order, and after waiting 30 minutes I was told it would take another 20. I wasn’t going to wait that long. I hope breakfast service is better, or I won’t stay again. I’m a Diamond Member, and it’s not okay to put the staff in that position.

The room was spacious, and the front desk staff were professional and attentive. There’s a small lobby restaurant serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. A nice place to stay.

We got the refund issue sorted out right away, and I was happy with how the stay was handled. Since we booked through Expedia instead of directly with the hotel, they couldn’t refund anything, but manager Chris was pleasant and genuinely grateful for the feedback. He gave the whole family complimentary breakfast instead, and it was very good. Our room was otherwise quiet and comfortable, and we finally got some restorative sleep. The breakfast staff on the morning of 8/28 were especially sweet and pleasant with our autistic teen. On the way out, we ran into a maintenance man in the hall, and my husband pointed out a loose shower faucet that needs attention soon. There were some cleanliness problems we’d noticed, including hair on the towels and items in the fridge that weren’t ours. We were also surprised by a call to the room asking us to pay more for our pet, since we thought we had already paid. The location and employees were great.
