My Place Hotel - Council Bluffs/Omaha East, IA

My daughter and I were really glad we gave this place a try. I hadn’t heard of My Place before, but the high rating made me curious. Our room was roomy, clean, and comfortable, especially the beds, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I’d absolutely stay again and would recommend it 10 out of 10.

We felt welcome from everyone on staff, and the front desk service was outstanding. I was traveling with my 88 year old mom to see family, and our room was cleaned every day. I’ll stay here again.

I’ve managed hotels before, so I know how hard it can be to keep every part of a property and business running well. My Place hotel Council Bluffs Iowa 35th Street seems to have figured it out. The place was incredibly clean and organized, and check-in was quick and easy. I’ve stayed in plenty of places over the years, and this was one of the best and cleanest. We felt comfortable and very well treated throughout our stay. The location is so convenient, right off the interstate, a short walk from a theatre, and a few blocks from the casinos. There are also several restaurants and gas stations nearby. The whole team knew their jobs, including the lodging program and online bookings, which can be a headache. The employees seemed comfortable with one another and genuinely happy at work. I met the owner, who was cleaning rooms and was thoughtful, cheerful, and kind. There was also a young new employee in training who was respectful and represented the hotel well. After some recent rude experiences with people around his age, that restored a bit of my faith. The staff’s hospitality really stood out. Thank you so very much for making me feel good about the hotel business again. You all kick ass! Yes, I’d absolutely recommend this place to everyone.

We only needed a night, even though the place is aimed at longer stays, and it was comfortable and quiet. It felt more homey and less stiff than other hotels, and the staff were amazing. We brought our two dogs, which cost $15 each. The bed was comfortable too.
