Home2 Suites by Hilton Pittsburgh Cranberry

We had plenty of room for my husband, grandson, and me, and the staff were amazing. The pool was clean and the area around it was neat. The front desk team were friendly and knew the area well. On our last morning, a huge extended family nearly cleared out the breakfast bar. Barbara, who was refilling it, asked what we wanted and made sure to replenish what we needed first. She was so helpful. We’ll definitely be back.

I like staying here when I’m in the area because it’s easy to reach and get back to the freeway, and the location is quiet. The hotel and rooms are clean, comfortable, and well maintained, just what I expect from Hilton. Breakfast is the usual Home2 fare, and the staff are friendly and courteous. It’s always a pleasure to stay here.

The room was clean and spacious, and breakfast was fine, just the usual hotel selection. The water tasted really off, though, both in the room and from the breakfast machine. No one in my family could drink it. I don’t know whether that’s normal for this part of PA or something was wrong with the hotel’s supply, but I’d bring or buy bottled water.

The first front desk representative I dealt with was very nice and professional. After we got our key and were settling in, I went back to the car and saw two children running up and down the hall with hockey or lacrosse sticks. The clerk tried to calm them, but couldn’t. Later, on our way out to anniversary dinner, we passed a large pizza and adult gathering in the lobby. There were open liquor bottles and children running around, which really surprised me. The noise wasn’t much of a concern while we were at dinner, but when we returned to Room 204, adults sitting outside around the fire pit were extremely loud. I called the desk, and the clerk moved us to Room 416 on a higher floor. Unfortunately, there was a shirt on the chair and stains all over the couch in Room 416. It looked like the room hadn’t been properly cleaned before we were given access. I called again. The clerk apologized, but no other room was offered. We were tired from traveling and got back late from dinner, so we stayed the night and planned to address it after getting home. This was my first stay at Home2Suites, and it wasn’t enjoyable. I’d appreciate a manager calling to discuss the condition of the room we were moved to. I also took photos of it.
