The Saint Augustine Beach House

The beach was so peaceful, and the location made it easy to walk to a store or coffee shop. Staff were kind and helpful, and they even arranged a free Uber. Breakfast was good, and they provide chairs, umbrellas, and towels. I loved that dogs are welcome, with bowls, bedding, a towel, and a treat provided. My only wish was for an outdoor shower, though there is a spot to rinse your feet. With a dog, a hose to wash off after the beach would be handy. I used the beach showers across the way to rinse mine. Definitely coming back!

The way the young man at check-in treated an older couple really stayed with me. They were in their 80s or 90s and trying to get upstairs with their things. He asked if I minded while he helped them, and he was so kind and gracious to them and to me. I’d want my own family treated that way. The staff really pay attention to guests as people, not cattle. The dining room worker was also friendly and accommodating, and I enjoyed the everything bagel casserole. We texted when ready for breakfast and took it back to our room. We came to St Augustine on a whim on Saturday morning and spent the first night in town. I wish I’d found this place sooner so we could have stayed two nights. We have two French bulldogs who go everywhere with us, and this place is extremely dog friendly. There are thoughtful amenities, including chairs, towels, umbrellas, a pet wash station, and Uber help if needed. It’s right on the beach, and the room was clearly put together with care, right down to the paint, rather than thrown together cheaply. We haven’t even left yet and are already planning to return with our kids and pups. This stay has warmed my heart, and I’ve truly enjoyed our time here.

My daughter and I had a lovely weekend here for our birthdays. The hotel is charming and beautiful, and it’s very pet friendly. Everyone on staff was so nice. We had a wonderful time and hope to return. I’d recommend it to anyone. To me, it deserves 10 stars.

This was our second visit to the St Augustine Beach House, and it was just as wonderful as before. The beach is gorgeous, and every room has a balcony facing it. Our room was clean, modern, and well equipped with a kitchenette, so it would work for a longer stay too. The staff are friendly, considerate, and professional. Even a small request gets a genuine smile. Special thanks to Nancy, Pam, Kevin, Erin and Camerron for going above and beyond and making our stay such a lovely time.
