The ceiling looked like a rough DIY texturing job, and I had to take photos to show people because I’d never seen one that bad. I was there for work nearby and left a day early when the job wrapped up sooner than expected. They’d already charged my card before check-in, and when I asked about a refund for the unused night, the only answer was that upper management would need to approve it. They called later that day to ask if I’d checked out so they could clean the room, then called again the next day to ask the same thing. Maybe it was renovated recently. I won’t stay at a Best Western again.

The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was the usual continental selection. Staff were friendly, and checking in and out was easy. I’d stay again if work brings me this way.

They’d apparently been without hot water for weeks, but nobody thought to tell guests. I saw two hot water tanks sitting beside the dumpster, looking like they were no good. Not cool at all.

The breakfast was good, and the staff were friendly and really helpful. The tub hadn’t been cleaned well, though, and the door wouldn’t close by itself. You had to pull it shut.

The hotel is older, but it’s been kept up well and has some nice updates. Our room was spacious and clean, and the mattress was about as comfortable as they come. The staff and breakfast choices were great, too. We didn’t use the pool, though it looked nice. There’s a paved cycling trail right in front, and some unique local restaurants nearby. This Best Western could teach other hotels a thing or two about management.
