Crestview Inn

I slept really well during my one-night stay and had no issues. The room was comfortable and accommodating, and the whole place was very clean inside and out. When I came to check out, the lobby was organized, clean, and smelled amazing. There are lots of cameras, so I felt safe. I stay at a lot of hotels each year; this one is basic, but it met my needs in every way. I'd recommend it for a night or two.

The rooms were super clean and the beds were great. The staff were also great and made sure our rooms were side by side so our group could stay together. When we decided to extend the weekend, they worked hard to accommodate us. We'll definitely be back!

The room was tiny even for the price, had no bathroom fan, and got hotter while we were there. The man running the motel said it had the best AC unit on the property, but the unit was tiny, fitted into a much larger grate, and duct-taped in place. It looked like the grate came from a bigger unit that could actually cool the room in 100° weather. He eventually gave us a refund, but offered no other options and seemed fed up with my complaint. As we were leaving, he came into our room with a plank of wood and more duct tape to close the gap around the small AC. Maybe that fix would have made the temperature acceptable, but instead he sent us back out into the unbearable heat to find another room. The refund would take 2-3 business days to reach my account. I couldn't go into the office, where he had AC, and had to check in and out through a tiny window beside the hot-air blower from its window unit. I know excess heat can make a person irritable, and I'm not immune to that, but management could have handled this much better. The run-down building is a fair picture of an establishment that somehow keeps operating. I'd pay attention to the low rating here.

The woman wasn't very nice. We had to leave because of hurricane Helene. They charged us $84.00 for a tiny room, plus a $50.00 cleaning deposit and $50.00 for our two dachshunds. We left the room clean and got $45.00 of the pet deposit back, but didn't get the cleaning deposit back. I wouldn't want to stay there again.
