The rooms had rats running between them, and the place was badly infested with roaches. On New Year's Eve we had a leak in the bathroom ceiling. The property manager made a hole in it, then left the problem unrepaired for at least six months. We covered it with a sheet to keep the air conditioning from escaping. During the year we lived there, they went through eight housekeepers. They paid only $7.75 an hour and expected shifts from 9 until 8 or 9 at night, with 10-15 rooms piled onto one person. Staff got yelled at if everything wasn't done in a day, even though there weren't enough towels or linens to finish rooms. The way workers were cursed at and treated like dogs was awful. The property managers brought drama and shared other businesses' affairs with people. In my opinion, the owner, Joby, should move everyone out, repair the building or tear it down and start fresh. He also needs to pay closer attention to whom he hires and lets manage things. If he really knew what was happening in his business, I don't think he'd be happy.
