PaddleTail Waterfront Lodge, Trademark Collection by Wyndham

We booked a manatee snorkeling tour through the hotel, which was convenient. Our room was by the pool and hot tub, a real plus in the very cold weather, and the hot tub was especially nice. There's also a small bar nearby for relaxing in the evening. We stayed just two nights, January 3 to January 5. The hotel was clean and quiet, and the staff were welcoming. Breakfast was the usual Wyndham spread: eggs, sausages, cereal, waffles, juice, and coffee. The mattresses felt too soft and springy for us, but the hotel was fine for a short stay.

The staff were my favorite part of the stay, so attentive, genuine, and helpful. We had a clean, cozy suite with two beds, and they were soft. The water views were breathtaking, and it's conveniently close to restaurants and shopping. We'll definitely stay again.

There are bars right on the water within easy walking distance, with karaoke and live music. Boat trips for manatee viewing, snorkeling, or scuba diving leave right from the dock. The property is clearly older but has been beautifully updated, and our room was spacious, clean, and had excellent amenities. Breakfast was excellent too. I'm picky, and this place exceeded my expectations. We'll be back again and again!

We had no Wi-Fi in our room in building 1 for the full four days. The window had no curtains, and even with the blinds shut it stayed VERY bright, making it hard to sleep. There was also too much cool-white lighting outside, which is bad light pollution for the manatees. Our toilet clogged twice, and it wasn't anything we did. On the good side, every staff member I dealt with, from the front office to maintenance and housekeeping, was helpful, friendly, and professional. The rooms were clean, the toiletries smelled lovely and weren't tested on animals, and the location is great, right on the water beside Waterfront Adventures. Continental breakfast was good, and the pool and hot tub were nice.
