4/3/26 I’ve stayed here three times in the past couple of weeks because I hate taking chances on hotels, and this place has been a gem. Every room was very clean, and the staff have been incredibly kind each time. The price is more reasonable than at other places, and there’s a popcorn machine in the lobby. They just got new owners, so I hope the hotel keeps this quality and retains all the current staff. Give the housekeepers a raise. Note: Ignore the blankets in my bed photo, those were mine.

I arrived around 1:30am and they had a room available. It was a nice stay, and I didn’t really have any complaints. The beds were clean and there was hot water. A washer and dryer were available, but there wasn’t an ironing board. It’s a good spot between towns.

I booked three nights in a king room at the Super 8 in Cuba, Missouri, for almost $400, which felt way overpriced. I’d stayed there before and didn’t realize it had changed owners. I was worried I wouldn’t find another room for my business trip, but then found a motel nearby for $50 less and booked it. I called Super 8 within 15 minutes to cancel. When I first booked, I specifically asked if there’d be another fee at arrival because that had happened to me at two other motels in other states, though neither was a Super 8. I’d also dealt with overseas call center staff before, and the person I spoke to was from another country and very hard to understand. I wasn’t told about an extra $17.99 booking fee. The cancellation policy was explained as a full refund if I cancelled before May 14, 2026. When I called to cancel, the woman read out the policy and date, and I said I should get a full refund since I’d only booked 15 minutes earlier and had found a cheaper place. Then she told me I’d be charged $17.99 for booking and would have to wait 10 days for my money to reach my bank. I asked for a supervisor, who called herself Zoey, though that wasn’t her real name. I argued that I hadn’t been told about the fee or the delay, and that I was cancelling before the stated date. I said I’d write a negative review to let people know they aren’t told up front that there’s a booking charge and that refunds won’t come back to the account the same day. If you book here at the reservation desk, beware of extra charges. Even when you cancel before the cancellation date, they say it takes 10 days to get the money back. This policy needs to change.

The breakfast had juice, coffee, milk, waffles, cereal, muffins, apples, and yogurt. Pretty standard for a hotel at this price. The room and bathroom were super clean and smelled nice, and the king bed was very comfortable. I also liked having an easy-to-reach outlet beside the bed to charge my phone. It was really quiet, and I’m adding this place to my stay-again list. The other reviews gave me hope, and they were right.

We were getting late and needed to pull off the road, and this place turned out to be a pleasant surprise. The room was clean, with a king bed, nice spread and sheets, fluffy bath towels, and what looked like a newly redone shower. The lobby was clean and had a popcorn stand, and the staff were very friendly. Breakfast was plenty for us. I’m gluten free and filled up on oatmeal, fruit, and yogurt, while he enjoyed biscuits and gravy. The TV wasn’t on a news station, which was refreshing. Great people, clean rooms, and a good price. I’d recommend it.
