I stayed here four months for work. The staff were lovely, from the helpful front desk attendants to housekeeping. The rooms and hotel always felt too dark, though. Parking costs extra each day, there’s no free breakfast, and the lobby restaurant was quite expensive. Maintenance was slow to respond when the sink pressure stayed low for months, then there was a leak under it, and two elevators were out for weeks. I’ve been checked out for over a month and still haven’t received my deposit. Accounting never answers the phone.

The room was clean, nice, and well kept. I didn’t need housekeeping, but the staff I saw on my floor were very polite and asked if I needed anything. The bar food tasted good. I only tried breakfast once, and didn’t think it was worth the price. Lunch and dinner had lots of choices, and what I ordered, especially the cheesecake, was good value. The elevators were the big problem. For much of my stay, only one of the hotel’s three elevators was working, and this is a twelve story building. Staff were very polite and apologetic, but all we got were printouts saying the other two were out of order. I heard work going on during the long waits, yet the front desk seemed as uninformed about progress as the guests. I wish the hotel had handled the elevator issue more proactively.

I’d give zero stars if I could. The room was clean, but the mattress was worn out and so soft that you sank into a deep dip. It squeaked constantly. We could also hear everything in the neighboring rooms and hallway. The refrigerator was broken, and after asking repeatedly for five hours, no one fixed it. I found the staff unhelpful. They watched while I cleaned the filthy microwave myself so I could heat my food. When I complained, I got generic apologies and promises to do better. To me, an apology from a hotel should come with some action, and nothing was done.

The staff have always been helpful, accommodating, and great. Grace welcomed me during my latest stay and stood out even among an already high standard. Her thoughtful, caring service really made an impression.
