Four Points by Sheraton Los Angeles Westside

We were here for four nights over the Christmas holidays. The highway noise outside our windows bothered us the first night, so we asked to move. Apparently all the double queen rooms face the freeway. Dehey did his best to help, and we ended up squeezing into a king room with a rollaway bed. It was tight, but we got enough sleep to continue our trip. Dehey and Manager Adey were patient and lowered the rate to reflect the smaller room. We’re used to very quiet sleep because of soundproof glass at home, so if you sleep easily, this may be fine. The breakfast was okay. At about $30 extra for a family of four as part of a package, it seemed reasonable; at the regular $20 per person price, not really. We liked the fresh waffles and hashbrowns. We had two different servers over our four breakfasts. The woman left a cream jar by the coffee, while the man brought coffee and cream to us. Both were nice and their styles were fine, though a little consistency might be helpful. On our last morning, a housekeeper knocked at 8am to ask when we’d check out so she could return to clean. We still had three hours before checkout and might have been sleeping. The furnishings look modern and new, but some hardware seems dated, and the bathroom exhaust fan barely worked. After each shower the room was very humid and steamy. Thanks to Adey and Dehey for going above and beyond. I think the price fits the quality.

For a celebration of life after my mother’s husband’s funeral at Hillside Memorial Park, my mother chose this hotel’s event space. We had short notice and were going through a difficult time, but Endia Calloway, the senior catering sales manager, was amazing to work with. She helped us create a warm, welcoming gathering and put together a great menu for our guests. Parking was convenient. I’d highly recommend it.

My daughter and I planned to stay one night, but checked out early the next morning. Circumstances beyond our control meant we had to extend our LA trip by another night. I called as soon as I found out, and luckily the hotel had space. We returned at 11am, and they already had another room ready with keys for us. They’d also found something I’d left in the first room and had it waiting when we checked in again. The staff, from the front desk to the bar and housekeeping, were all friendly and helpful. They felt bad about why we had to extend and offered to discount overnight parking, but it was still $27 on the bill. The offer seemed sincere. The bar food was decent and reasonably priced. Beds were comfortable, and we slept well both nights, even though the highway noise was much louder on the 5th floor than it had been on the 2nd. If you’re on the highway side, it gets more noticeable on higher floors. The location is great, with the mall just across one street. I’d stay here again.

We’re visiting from Georgia, and Letina D. at the front desk was phenomenal. She answered all my questions and immediately fixed an issue I brought up. Her attitude was so positive and her customer service was impeccable. She did such a great job that we hope she’ll be there when we check out. Thank you!
