Comfort Inn & Suites Custer - Crazy Horse Area

When we finally stayed, the hotel was clean and the location was decent, about a 10-15 minute walk from the main shops and food we wanted. The hot tub wasn’t working, which was the biggest disappointment after a chilly day and hikes. Before the visit, I was worried because both Expedia and I called numerous times trying to reach the front desk about my reservation. I hoped they were still there and that I hadn’t wasted my money, and that I’d actually get service once I arrived. I’d hoped to update the one-star rating higher afterward.

The free breakfast was very good and had something for everyone. Our room was very clean and roomy, and the bathroom was spacious too. Check-in and checkout were easy, and the desk person was polite and helpful. There’s laundry on every floor. This would work well for a night or a week.

The view from the back was beautiful, and breakfast was pretty good for a continental spread. We didn’t enjoy the pool area much because the hot tub was too hot and the pool too cold. The bed was too hard for me and I slept horribly, though my husband liked it. The hotel next door said this one was only a year old, but I don’t believe that, since you can see its age in places. It wasn’t horrible and I’d stay again, though if it really is a year old, it doesn’t seem like it’ll age well.

The rooms were nice and clean, and we were able to get connecting rooms for our friend and us when we asked. Breakfast was good. The pool was too cold for my daughter, while the hot tub was too hot. It’s a good place to stay if you’re visiting Wind Cave National Park.
