Rodeway Inn

The room was quiet, and when I needed to add another day, it was easy. They didn’t make me check out and wait until 3, or charge extra. That’s why I’d come back to this place in the OC. #RespecttoReenaandAmit Breakfast was an actual continental spread: cereal, oatmeal, bagels, toast, jelly, pastries, hot waffles, coffee, juice, and milk, without anyone hovering while you ate. The room was roomy and had a big TV, though no movie channels. It did have the Lakers, Clippers, Dodgers, and Angels. There was an iron and board, soap, plenty of towels, tissues, and toilet paper. The movie guide, restaurant menu, and tabletop ad were outdated, and a clock radio would’ve been nice. Maybe my Platinum Expedia status helped, since I didn’t have to leave a deposit. I left the room accordingly. This place was great! 😁🎊

The parking was good, and the room keys worked great. The ceramic tile floors were nice too. But for the cost, this place really wasn't worth it. At check-in, we had to deal through a small security window, which didn't inspire confidence. Once inside, the door barely sealed and looked open even when shut. The sink had a hole that drained into the overflow area, so it didn't leak, but it was still odd. We killed a few small roaches and had gnats bothering us. There seemed to be mold on the shower ceiling, painted over, and the blanket in our supposed non-smoking room had burn marks. Next door, the Hispanic club played very loud mariachi-type music until 2 a.m.

The staff were really friendly and accommodating. The rooms have been updated and are nice, with big bathrooms. There's an elevator, lots of rooms, and coin laundry.

After staying here for a week, I'm really satisfied. It was peaceful and quiet, the staff and service were great, and breakfast was plentiful and consistent.
