Aloft by Marriott Dallas Downtown

Ellaine made a real difference to our visit. She was warm, thoughtful, and attentive, and made the stay feel personal and comfortable. We were there for my partner’s anniversary, so her kindness helped make the trip especially meaningful and memorable. Aloft Austin Downtown has a lively, modern feel, and being right in central Austin made getting around easy. Everything felt welcoming and well handled from the moment we arrived. It was a fun stay with great energy, and I’d happily return or recommend it to someone looking for a memorable time in Austin.

I was able to walk by myself safely to the AT@T Discovery Center, and the hotel’s location worked well. Parking through the hotel was $17 a day, compared with $30 at the lot, though the large lot is a little walk from the entrance. Carts are available, and overnight guests can park up front when there’s room. They also had a guitar player performing in the lobby at night. I booked around 4:40 for a last-minute stay and checked in at 5:30. The desk staff I met were very kind and personable: Christian, a taller Black man working Saturday night, and an older Black man at Sunday checkout. The lobby is spacious, with a bar I didn’t try, a pool table, seating, a clean gym, and a grab-and-go breakfast café that I skipped because it seemed pricey. My room was clean, roomy, and had a decent view. The ironing board was quite short, and the toilet sometimes had trouble flushing, but neither would stop me from booking again. One small surprise, the bathroom door is a sliding mirror, and it took me a moment to figure that out.

Sally, Will, and Jason at the bar were the highlight of my visit. They were friendly, attentive, and really good at what they do, turning an ordinary evening into one of the best parts of the trip. Thanks, team TEQUILA 😉 I was there March 7-9, and the comfortable modern atmosphere, consistently good food, and helpful staff all made the stay better than expected. I also loved hearing the story about the building’s history. I’ll definitely come back when I’m in the area.

Maria at the front desk made everything easy. She was amazing, took care of what I needed, and made both check-in and checkout simple. The staff were friendly, the rooms were nice, and the accommodations met my needs. I’d recommend staying here when you’re traveling to Dallas.
