Aloft by Marriott Dallas Love Field

The front desk staff were great and always made sure I was taken care of. My six-day stay was fine overall, but getting a basic room refresh was frustrating. I went down to the desk on three different days asking for the trash to be emptied and fresh towels and washcloths. They only do refreshes every three days, and even after that point, my room still wasn’t serviced. The room was spacious and nice, with a small mini fridge but no microwave. The only microwave is shared in the lobby, and it definitely needs daily cleaning. Breakfast is free in the element lobby, with lots of options. This is a decent choice for a quick stay, but for a longer visit or if you don’t eat out much, I’d choose the element with kitchens or stay somewhere else.

We were at Aloft for a conference, and the staff treated us like family. Service was fantastic, and breakfast was just what we expected, with service that went beyond it. The location was handy for the airport and freeway, which made it easy to explore nearby. We’d consider staying again. The one downside was having to pay for parking.

My husband was receiving care at UT after open-heart surgery, so I needed somewhere safe and comfortable. This hotel gave me neither, and the experience was extremely disappointing. The parking lot felt unsettling, with people wandering around, and I felt unsafe as soon as I arrived. The front desk staff were curt and rude, with little empathy. The hallways smelled strongly sour and musty. My room was very cold, and the thermostat didn’t work. I called the front desk several times but kept getting routed to reservations. On my third try, I reached someone and explained the problem. They told me to check the thermostat, even though I’d already tried, and said maintenance would come. Nobody ever came during my two-day stay. I also paid extra for a scenic view and got a second-floor room overlooking the parking lot. There was nothing scenic about it. Between the poor service, the unsafe feeling, and the way things were handled, I won’t stay here again. I hope management takes this seriously for future guests.
