Embassy Suites by Hilton Dallas Market Center

We had a nice three-day stay and ate at the newly renovated restaurant in the hotel, where dinner was great. The standard rooms could use some TLC, and the pillows have lost their shape. Maintenance should inspect the bathrooms, since several plumbing fixtures had no caulk around them. The location is great, close to both the airport and downtown.

We got settled in, then realized there was no water, and nobody had warned us. In the living room, the cable box was hanging off the TV. I got it working with a little handyman ingenuity, but there was no sound, and the remote didn’t work. The table had obvious burn marks, and the duvets looked as if they hadn’t been changed in months. I saw housekeeping cleaning rooms and wondered how they could do that without water. The whole place felt dirty and a bit shady, so we checked out and moved to another hotel.

The neighborhood had quite a few vagrants under the bridge, but we didn’t have any issues. The hotel was wonderful for the price. Front desk staff were amazing, let me check in early, and quickly moved us to another room when we had no hot water. The rooms were clean, the AC worked great, and the beds were comfortable. The pillows were a little flat, but fine. Breakfast was good and made to order, and the pool was fun.

The breakfast was fantastic, and the service couldn't have been smoother. The rooms are huge, with a comfortable bed, a roomy living area, and space to work. The TVs are excellent too. The shower could use a slightly wider walnut, but it was still good. Great value.
