Oakwood Dallas Uptown

The staff were about as kind as any hotel team I've come across, and they made thoughtful little accommodations for my special occasion. The rooms were nice, the atmosphere relaxed, and the rooftop bar was great. I was very happy with the stay and would come back. Parking was the one drawback. The property is valet only, though if you catch the timing right, you might find a free street spot alongside the hotel. It wasn't a big issue for me since the neighborhood felt quiet and safe.

I slept incredibly well on the spacious, spotless room's comfortable bed, which had no dips. The hotel also worked well for my meetings, and there were lots of gyms and workout classes nearby, either next door or an easy walk away. I'd gladly stay here again.

The rooftop bar has a great city view, late-night food, and a fun, sexy feel. It was freezing the night we were there, and Cassidy took great care of us, even bringing a blanket. The staff were all well dressed and cheerful. The room was clean, with robes, modern furniture, a pleasing color scheme, and artwork inspired by Uptown. The shower had amazing pressure and a hand-wand, and our room looked out over the area. The location is lovely and feels safe and clean, with restaurants, the park, and trolley within walking distance. I'd especially recommend it for couples.

Everyone on staff was friendly and helpful, and room service arrived quickly. The potato and leek soup was so good. I also liked that the coffee shop and mini store stayed open late. I enjoyed the weekend here and would come back.
