Those beds were seriously comfortable, which is probably why this gets more than one star from me. I usually stay in budget motels, so I'm comparing it with places like Red Roof Inn or Motel 6, not the Ritz. Getting there is confusing: the motel sits right off I-84, but GPS puts it about a mile farther down the road, so it's easy to miss the turn. In Room 220, the elevator opens onto the second floor, but you have to pass through two stairwell doors to find the hallway. No one explains that. The first smell was pot, then cigarette smoke by our room. The room was deep, and the switch only lit about four feet of it. Other lamps were unplugged. Walking farther in with shoes on, I found the floor sticky. My daughter tried the shower and warned me the pressure was weak. It barely reached a foot from the spigot at full force. When I got up at 5 to use the bathroom, I found the toilet seat wasn't attached to the bowl. After she mentioned some things while I was drifting off, I checked around: the smoke detector had been ripped off the wall, the bottom of the sink mirror was melted, and there were stickers on the lights. The sink had no way to unclog it. The fridge had no shelves, and the microwave photo I took, still showing 28 seconds left, pretty much sums up the feeling that nobody cares. I also took a picture of the rug. Maybe it was the source of the sticky feeling on the floor tile, or maybe they'd put it down over a rug. I really don't understand that floor. There was black mold on the far wall too, which might explain why the lights back there were unplugged. I planned to tell the desk to fix the toilet seat before renting the room again, since housekeeping clearly hadn't reported it, but nobody was at the front desk. The ice machine was out of order as well. Looking out the window, it seemed a couple had broken up at the motel and left their belongings scattered over the back lawn. The name says "Quality Inn," but I suggest looking for an "Adequate Inn." This was really neither. Don't bring people you love here, it puts a strain on relationships.

I usually don't complain, but they charged my card twice, even though I hadn't broken anything or done anything that should result in a charge. The first time, the "manager" said he'd refund me, but I didn't believe him. After I checked out, I noticed another charge later that day. When I called, all I got was, "oh you're gonna have to talk to the manager." They also charge more than the website price, even when you're a member. They seem untrustworthy and unprofessional. A lot of the rooms are health hazards too. In rooms I saw, ceilings were leaking, a toilet tank was broken, and there were moldy smells. The picture I included is from one of the rooms I visited. If you're going to overcharge my card and then act dumb about it, have fun.

The doors into the hotel don't lock, so anyone can walk in at any time. The pool was closed for our entire stay, despite the website saying there was an indoor heated pool. Breakfast was pretty much basic cereal, toast and bagels, with waffles as the only hot item. Our room wasn't cleaned very well, and it had a broken window. If I'd known about all of this, I'd have picked another hotel. It was disgusting and a huge disappointment.

I was worried after reading the other reviews, but my stay was good. The room was clean and very spacious, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The pool was nice, though there were used towels left around it, and it was hard to find without signs pointing the way. They should add signs around the property. The bed felt too hard for me, so I didn't sleep well. I could hear traffic from Federal Rd, and I'd expect it may be similar on the other side since the highway is behind the hotel. Light sleepers will notice it. I skipped breakfast because the selection is very limited, just coffee, toast and cereal. A decent stay overall.

We booked for our anniversary hoping to swim in December, but the pool was closed. The website didn't mention that, while a sign advertises an indoor heated pool. The king room was bigger than I expected, though it wasn't very clean. The parking lot door says you need a guest card, but we could just walk right in.
