The only decent part of this stay was the 4:00am airport run. The driver was professional and got us there on time. Everything before that was a mess, and we won't be back. Our group had 10 people across five reservations. We waited more than an hour in the sun for the shuttle, then spent five hours in a crowded lobby with other guests whose flights had been canceled or rooms weren't ready. We asked about checking in early and were told we'd get a call when our room was available. At 4:00pm, the desk said it had been ready and asked whether we'd missed their call. We hadn't received one, and we'd been sitting there the whole time. Check-in was chaotic. I nearly got charged again for a stay I'd already prepaid, and the staff were unhelpful and almost rude. Nobody apologized. When we reached the room, the key card turned green but the door wouldn't open. Maintenance came up, then we were made to feel silly because the handle had to be turned upward, which no one had explained. The room didn't feel clean at all. There were dirty carpets, nail clippings on the bathroom floor, and hair on the floor and in the shower. After I stepped out and went back in for toiletries, black footprints had appeared in the shower. I didn't feel comfortable taking my shoes off.

I ended up here after realizing I'd mixed up my flight dates for a bachelorette party. Check-in was quick, and the updated-looking lobby was nice. The room smelled a little musty and felt muggy at first, though it cleared up after a while. Water pressure was okay, but the hot water took some time to come through. The 24-hour airport shuttle was handy. If I needed a place in Ft. Lauderdale again, I'd consider booking here.

Juan made my restaurant visit feel warm and memorable. He was kind, attentive, and just had a way of making a difference. His service was excellent, and I really appreciated his humanity. Thanks to Juan for treating me so well, and to Hilton for having someone like him on the team.

The airport shuttle was dependable and made getting around much easier, and my room was clean, comfortable, and well cared for. Caroline, the bartender, was especially great: friendly, attentive, and professional throughout my visit. I stay at plenty of Hilton hotels as a Diamond member, and this one went beyond what I expected. I'd happily return to Hilton Garden Inn Fort Lauderdale Airport on another trip to Fort Lauderdale. Highly recommend it.

The rooms were comfy, though the beds are low, and the food was good. One heads-up: the building isn't yellow, so I was surprised when we pulled up in the complimentary airport shuttle. The driver was helpful, but each shuttle should have the right hotel name on the outside. I only spotted ours because the driver held up a tiny sign. The pool area was loud from the constant beeping of what seemed to be delivery trucks.
