Residence Inn by Marriott Fort Lauderdale Airport & Cruise Port

We got a spacious room with a kitchen, and it was spotless. The young man at the desk was friendly and gave us a couple of snacks along with our keys. I noticed a burnt-out lightbulb and a cracked, loose shower fixture, but neither was a big deal. The pool area was quite nice, and breakfast exceeded my expectations for both selection and quality. I’ll use this hotel again.

The staff were professional and polite, and I had a great stay. The rooms looked clean and well cared for, and they were furnished comfortably for a short visit, or possibly a longer one. They had our rooms ready when we arrived, after arranging a shuttle pickup at the airport. I’d book with them again anytime.

The king suite was fantastic, with a very comfortable bed, and the hotel was clean, conveniently located, and staffed by friendly people. We stayed two nights before a cruise and had a great visit. The one thing I missed was coffee in the lobby later in the day. After breakfast, there wasn’t any available, and I’d have liked coffee there during the day or around the clock. I didn’t eat breakfast, so I can’t comment on it.

The shower design was my one real complaint. It has just one glass door, so a draft gets in while you’re showering. Maybe some people won’t mind, but I found it uncomfortable. Otherwise, my studio suite was clean, spacious, and had what I needed, from an iron to cooking utensils. The grounds were nice and well kept, the hotel interior was clean, and the place was quiet. Check-in went smoothly, checkout was easy, and every staff member I met, from the front desk to breakfast service, was very friendly and helpful. There was plenty of parking and the location was nice. I’d recommend it.
