Hyatt Place Ft Lauderdale Airport S & C Port

The shuttle and location were convenient, though keep in mind the hotel isn't close to the beach unless you pay for an Uber or Lyft. What let the visit down most was the room and the mixed messages from staff. The room was old, dated, and dusty. The bed was comfortable, but the bathtub turned into a pool and got really nasty, as the pictures show. At the desk, staff couldn't agree on whether there'd be takeaway breakfast bags for guests leaving early. Thankfully there were some, but the bananas inside were brown instead of fresh. I've stayed at many Hyatt Places, and this one wasn't it. Bummer, Hyatt.

I've relied on this hotel from 2024 into 2025, and it's been consistently accommodating. I'm a loyal brand member, but I'd recommend this location even without membership benefits for its amenities, access to transportation, and affordability. The staff are friendly, helpful, and thoughtful. Rooms are comfortable and the on-site food is solid. The concierge especially stands out as professional, engaging, and supportive, and package handling was completely hassle-free.

I've stayed here a few times, and the service is good and the rooms are nice and clean. The area works well, with lots of shops and restaurants nearby and easy access to the highway. Parking is $10, which is better than many places. Breakfast was questionable, especially on the first day. The bacon looked more like animal skin than bacon. It was a little better the second day, though still not what it used to be. I'd return, but might try other hotels nearby to compare with the Hyatt Place.

The staff were all fantastic, especially Orlando at the front desk, who had a soft, calming voice and excellent people skills. Our accessible room, 414, was spacious and had a wonderful view. The windows were well insulated, so we couldn't hear the highway in the distance. There was also a useful counter area with a microwave and coffee maker. The lobby and entrance were very clean and had a relaxed, friendly feel. The airport shuttle was great, and the driver helped with our luggage. Nearby restaurants were even better, all within a slow walk of about 10 minutes. Breakfast had the usual basics: eggs, sausage, hash browns, pancakes, toast, orange juice, and coffee. We highly recommend this location as part of a good travel experience.
