Dartmouth Motor Inn

My rating reflects how the place matched my expectations for an inn at the price I paid. The room was okay, but the beds squeaked, and we could hear our neighbors talking through the wall. We reserved for 3, yet got only 2 towels. My lock didn’t work, so I had to put a chair in front of it.

UNDER CONSTRUCTION, BEWARE. The floors were so filthy they turned my feet black, and I had to mop them myself. The supposed “manager” was awful, extremely rude, and couldn’t operate their computer system. I left a message for the owner to call me, but never heard back. I hope you get fired.

The rates were very impressive, and having a full-size refrigerator, microwave, and 2-burner electric stove in my room was a real plus given the choices in the area. The front desk managers were accommodating and completely understanding. Everyone was so friendly and helpful that this was the best place I’ve stayed. A phenomenal experience.

I stayed one night because I arrived late and had nowhere else to go, and I was petrified as a lone traveler. There was drug and alcohol activity all night, and I found drug paraphernalia in my room. The sheets hadn’t been changed, the room wasn’t cleaned, there was hair and slime all over the toilet, and debris all over the carpet. The deadbolt didn’t work. I’m disputing the charge for that night, and the ads on travel sites are misleading. Signs say to park at your own risk. I don’t have to mention the smell. Do not expect to be safe here. When I asked for a refund for the two remaining nights out of the three I booked, I was given a hard time. I had to go through my credit card company and Booking.com for help getting reimbursed for those two nights. Management will tell you they’re helpless with any problems. I wouldn’t give the place any stars if I didn’t want to warn people.
