The Inn at Dayton

The rooms were clean and well kept, and the place has a modern feel that made the stay comfortable. The price was good for what you get. Just know the minibar is fully stocked, but every snack and drink costs extra. That was a small letdown, though not a dealbreaker. Good stay as long as you know before reaching for anything.

The room felt airy and elegant, with ceilings I’d guess were around 18 feet high, crown molding, and box beam details. Modern touches kept it stylish and comfortable. In Room #203, the fireplace made the space especially warm and inviting, and the heated towel rack was a small bonus I really appreciated. The bathroom had both a soaking tub and a stand-in shower, with a thermostat for setting the water just right. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the in-room Nespresso machine was a nice extra. The inn was very quiet, too. From the quaint exterior, you wouldn’t guess how luxurious the inside of The Dayton Inn in Dayton, Oregon is. I’m so glad I can call this place home. It’s a rare mix of charm, comfort, and luxury.

The wine hour was a real treat, with two of the best wines we tasted on our trip. Breakfast is free, and your mileage may vary, but it was better than at most American hotels. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Our “Legacy room” had modern touches like dimming lights, a separate bathroom heater, and a water vapor fireplace that gives more ambiance than heat. I’d call the look “Restoration Hardware chic.” The towels and robes were top quality, and the comforters were actually warm. There’s also an outdoor patio and an indoor reading area, both nice additions for a 12-room hotel. It’s a great new home base for exploring Oregon wine country. Looking forward to seeing more things pop up in Dayton, especially around this remodeled building, which is a jewel.

We spent the weekend here and had an amazing time. The hotel sits across from the main square, and the staff were friendly and attentive. There was a free wine tasting in the afternoon, and Loam is an amazing restaurant within walking distance. A great new addition to the Dayton region, highly recommend!!!
