The walking path behind the hotel was lovely for a morning or evening stroll, and there was a creek running behind the back side of our room. I loved that setting. The Lucky 8 casino is at the south end of the building. You can get a voucher for free pizza and drinks while playing the slot machines, but you have to play for 1 hour to get the free personal fan Pizza. Beer is free while you gamble too. They also have an outside patio deck, plus a pool and hot tub. This was our first visit to the area, and Shannon the manager was awesome. We had a few issues, and she fixed them right away. Check-in and checkout were quick, and everyone was friendly. The bed was comfy. Breakfast was just grab-and-go stuff, which was fine, and the coffee was great.

We spent a week here, and the comfortable bed, clean and quiet room, and great pool and hot tub made for a good stay. The hotel is a little dated, though it was clean and well kept. Staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast had limited choices, our one mild complaint. Shannon, the manager, always greeted us with a warm smile.

That back deck overlooking the creek was amazing. The staff were all so helpful, and the price was very affordable. Can't wait to come back.

The creek view was beautiful, and it was so relaxing to hear the water. Inside, the room was very clean, the bed was comfortable, and the shower had good pressure. Staff were friendly and helpful.

We only stayed one night, but the room was clean and tidy and the price was right. We were delighted with it. We'll be back from Michigan to see this gorgeous area and quaint town.
