Ramada Limited Decatur

The bathroom shower was so loose it looked ready to come off the wall, and the three refillable bottles all had the same soap, though they were meant for body wash, shampoo, and conditioner. The pool smelled strongly of mildew, had no chlorine smell at all, and peeling paint on the bottom. The water made us itch and smelled bad. Our first room had a TV that didn't work, so we were moved to another room that smelled awful. The beds were supposed to be two queens but seemed smaller, and they had no other room to offer when we asked. The hotel was very outdated when we checked in for the Special Olympics Bowling competition. Breakfast was dirty and terrible. It needs updating and a serious deep clean.

We're here for an extended business stay, and they've made us feel welcome even though we're from out of state. The rooms are very clean, and the staff are kind and helpful. Each morning someone knocks to swap our towels and take the trash. There's enough parking for our vehicles, and we've enjoyed the heated pool. My family and I are having a good stay at the Ramada Limited, and we'll recommend it to friends and family who travel.

Ricky, the front desk manager, was especially kind, and we were pleased with the service. Our two queen deluxe room was huge, and everything in it was very clean. Housekeeping did a great job, though they could look up for cobwebs on the ceilings. We couldn't swim because the pool was always crowded during this busy time, so I can't really review it, but it looked clean and inviting. We enjoyed breakfast, with biscuits and gravy, a waffle maker, fresh fruit, and muffins.

The renovations look nice, and the staff were very pleasant. My room was clean, but felt damp, as if the AC couldn't pull out the humidity even though it was cool enough. Breakfast was adequate, nothing special. I've never found a hotel bed truly comfortable, and this one was no exception. I woke up achy.
