Hampton Inn & Suites Deland

The breakfast was on point every time, and everyone at the DeLand hotel treated me with the same care I got when I first called the 800 number to find a room for my family and me. That first call was fast, easy, and thorough, and I felt respected and treated with compassion. Every interaction with the hotel staff was just as good. During a really stressful time, they made things easier for me. I appreciate all of them and have nothing but great things to say. Thank you!

We only stayed one night, and the staff member at reception was kind and helpful throughout the problems. The shower ran only hot water, and afterward we couldn’t get it to turn off. We eventually managed to shut it off ourselves. Our room’s A/C also wasn’t working, so she moved us, though the replacement had a different bed setup, not the double queen we had booked. We made do. The hallways on floors two through five had no A/C either, but that wasn’t a big issue since the rooms have units. The hotel itself was neat and clean, and there are plenty of places to eat nearby. It’s not a bad place, just needs a few maintenance issues fixed.

My realtor came to meet me in the lobby and had a cup of coffee while he waited. A kitchen manager came out from the back and shouted, “coffee is for customers,” then insisted the front desk manager look up my name after my realtor explained why he was there. He ended up leaving for Dunkin Donuts. There were kids staying for a volleyball tournament, so the whole thing was embarrassing and unnecessary for everyone at the hotel. Management came across as confrontational and aggressive. Comfort Suites is right down the street.

The location was perfect for Skydive DeLand, and the room was even better than I expected. Really friendly, helpful staff too. Fantastic stay!
