A beautiful mosaic of downtown Columbia in the hotel caught my eye right away. It's one of the largest and most beautiful I've seen. The rooms were modern and clean, the bed was really comfortable, and the location was convenient. The price felt more than fair, especially given the storm. We ended up at La Quinta Inn at the last minute after arriving in Columbia during a historic snowstorm and escaping a truly awful VRBO. We were so grateful they had space, and surprised and relieved to find pet rooms available. Traveling with cats in a winter storm wasn't on our life bingo card, but they settled right into the clean, safe room, and so did we. Dan at the front desk was especially helpful and welcoming from the moment we arrived. He clearly cared about making sure we were comfortable and went above and beyond to get us settled. Everyone we dealt with, from housekeeping to the breakfast area staff, was kind, professional, and warm. We're very thankful. A stressful situation became manageable, and we'd absolutely recommend this hotel. Five stars to La Quinta Inn!

We'd stay here again. The lobby looked clean and smelled nice, and our room was clean too. We checked the mattress and saw it had bed bug protectors, which was great. Breakfast was hot, good, and readily available. There's a small outdoor pool, which might disappoint some people. We stopped for one night while traveling, and the location was handy, just off the highway and easy to get back on.

The beds were very comfortable, the place was clean and quiet, and the staff were really nice. We enjoyed staying a few nights and having the hot breakfast each morning while we were in town for our grandson's boot camp family day and graduation at Fort Jackson. Getting to the hotel is a little odd: unless you cut through the neighboring hotel's parking lot, you have to drive through the lot of an abandoned building in front.

We stayed one night and checked out today. The hotel was beautiful and extremely clean, the room was spacious, and the bed was comfortable. Every staff member was very friendly. The breakfast buffet was delicious, better than at most hotels we've stayed at, and stayed fully stocked throughout the morning.

My reservation date was wrong, but I got it corrected within 10 minutes. Even so, I was charged twice for the room. Staff wouldn't let me speak with the manager, repeatedly saying she wasn't on site even though the sign said she was. When I asked when she'd be in, they said she had no schedule. This is unacceptable.
