Courtyard by Marriott Denver Airport

The gym is a trainwreck. It gets packed with more than two people, and for how busy this hotel is, it needs to be twice the size. There’s plenty of space they could take from the lobby. Hopefully they change it up in 2026, because it doesn’t work as it is. The staff are lovely, the location is close to the airport, the rooms are nice, and the restaurant has good food options and wine.

This is a typical airport Courtyard, with a very friendly staff and a bistro serving food and drinks. The shuttle runs every 15 minutes and picks up on the west side at level 5, island 5. Parking costs $20 a night.

The shuttle was prompt, but hard to find at the airport. The room was clean and okay, though aging, and the bed was very hard. For a Marriott, this wasn’t quite what I expected. The TV only had basic cable and infomercials, there was no room service, and the Bistro never seemed open or staffed whenever I went down. With no car, getting food was difficult, so I had to use DoorDash.

My daughter and I checked in after midnight, and the desk clerk was upbeat and pleasant. He said the airport shuttle ran every 15 minutes from 3-10am. At 4:08am I went to the lobby, then outside, where I saw the driver wiping a window. I asked if he was leaving at 4:15 and he said yes. I waited in the cold for him to open the door. He greeted a white man who came out and opened the door for him, but the man said he just wanted to put his luggage in the back and stand outside. I told the driver I’d been waiting in the cold to get on. He nastily told me I should have stayed inside where it wasn’t cold. Then he loaded the white flight attendants’ bags and said I could sit in the van if I wanted. Kenneth Garcia, you need to learn some manners, get over your hang-ups about people’s skin color, and represent the company in a positive way.
