Travelodge by Wyndham Depoe Bay

The oceanfront view is spectacular, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Service was fabulous. Coffee and snacks are set out in the lobby each morning at 8. There’s nothing like having coffee on the balcony while waves crash on the shore! You can hear some road noise, though it dies down from about 9 pm to 7 am. Headphones or earplugs might help if it bothers you.

I had a really enjoyable stay in room 310. I’m not sure why this is rated a two-star hotel; it was exactly what I wanted. The room was small but had everything I needed: a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, large TV, and fireplace. The ocean view was perfect, and I kept the sliding door open most of the time to listen to the waves. I could hear traffic from 101, but it didn’t get annoying or drown out the ocean.

The online photos didn’t make the place look very promising, but we found the room clean and nicely equipped with a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. From the balcony there was a nice view of the north end of Depoe Bay. The floor was tile, not carpet. There was only one chair, a rolling office chair at the desk, so otherwise we had to sit on the beds. What we didn’t like was the front desk lady’s response when the neighbors began a domestic dispute. We asked for police to intervene, but they never came.

The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and reception was friendly. It was comfortable and fairly priced for summer, with a working mini fridge and microwave. From the balcony you can see the ocean across the road, though you’ll have to tune out truck noise. I’d bring your own coffee or tea. I’d definitely stay again.
