Acres Landing

The cold water was the main letdown. The showers stayed icy even after I let them run for quite a while, so during my one-night stay I skipped showering. I also booked for the spring-water tub in the camp van, but after 20-30 minutes of running it in the morning, the water was only warm enough for a short soak, never properly hot. Maybe it was the same issue as the showers. Even with that, I’d give the stay four stars. It was my first glamping trip and felt memorable and different. The pool and hot tubs were great, and I liked having fire pits and ping pong for the evening. Parking was plentiful and an easy walk from our camp spot. The front desk staff were welcoming and check-in went smoothly. The water issue might matter more on a longer visit, but I was only there for the night.

A Thanksgiving weekend search led us to this small, secluded desert resort, and we were lucky to find it. The views are lovely, and the Airstream trailers have been renovated beautifully, with hotel-style amenities and plenty of privacy. We enjoyed the pool and jetted hot tub, and the BBQ area felt safe and easy to use. The outdoor tub uses the same spring water as the pool and hot tub, and it’s a lovely touch for a romantic weekend. It’s big enough for two. We’ll definitely make this a regular stop on future trips.

The location worked really well for my two photoshoots around Palm Springs and Yucca Valley, and I liked how responsive the hotel was when I texted to confirm checkout time. I stayed during a heatwave and could happily have spent the whole time in the mineral pool if work hadn’t called. Since Acres is 18+, I could relax without kids making noise at the pool. My Airstream was cute, comfortable, well stocked, and stayed cool. It was quiet at night, though I could see the place being a great vibe with friends or for a wedding. I had what I needed, including half and half pods in the fridge, without a lot of extras.

A local employee at the hotel next door told me about the mineral water and how beautiful this place was, so I had to see it for myself. I stayed in Airstream #1 by the pool. It was stylish, spotless, and clearly well cared for. The service and design were fantastic. Next time I’d probably choose a spot farther from the pool for a quieter night, but I hope the place stays this good even after more people discover it. Happy travels!
