Four Points by Sheraton Brunswick

The room was just okay, and the bathroom update looked cheap and poorly done. After paying $175, it was disappointing that there was no complimentary breakfast. In the morning, the coffee was supposed to be complimentary too, but the thermos was empty when we tried it. I told the front desk on our way out, and she said she'd just refilled it. We left without coffee. When we arrived at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, no one was at the desk. We waited, called the number to see if someone in the back would answer, and got no response until someone eventually came out. I’d tried calling while on the road, but the line was full of static; a second call was the same, so I booked online while driving there. The Marriott Bonvoy sticker on the door made me wonder if the hotel had recently been bought by Marriott, which might explain the unprofessional service. I won't choose it for a future stop.

The room was dirty, with a shower that needs a deep clean and mold both inside and outside it. Walls were broken and covered in mismatched patches, and the furniture was damaged. They don't take out trash, make beds, or replace cups. Even the coffee pot was dirty though we never used it. I wouldn't recommend staying here. This place needs new management.

We booked a king and a double queen while driving from Florida to South Carolina for a family wedding. We got in around 7:30 and mostly relaxed before an early start. The rooms were clean and quiet, and the employees were kind and helpful. I got water and ice from the fitness center, and there was also ice on each floor. We didn't try the bar or hotel food, or the nearby places to eat, including Mexican, subs, and a couple of bank statements. Checkout on the app the next morning was seamless. There's no electric car charger. I'd stay again on a similar trip.

The front desk staff are mostly pleasant, and it's a nice hotel, but services are hit or miss. Some days they take out the trash, make the beds, or replace used towels, and some days they don't. Rarely do all three happen on the same day. The dryer screens in the in-house laundromat are all broken. The change machine only accepts $1 or $5 bills, so you're stuck if you only have a $10 or larger bill. The hotel is cashless, including the bar and restaurant.
