Pine Ridge Motel

A quaint little place, clean and mostly comfortable. The pillows were hard, and while there was coffee in the room, there were no cream or sugar packets. The TV remote didn’t work right: pressing the guide button changed the channel instead of opening the TV guide. Channels also took ages to switch, so flipping around was annoying.

I was unsure about staying here after reading some older reviews, but it looks like they’re under new management. For one night, the price was very reasonable, and the room was clean and quiet. The bed was SO comfortable, and it was just what I wanted, much better than expected. Different curtains that block more light would be my only suggestion, but that wasn’t enough to take off a star. I’d stay again in a heartbeat.

We’re on a bicycle tour, and there’s a cut-through in the woods from the east on Military Ridge Trail, just before the motel. Otherwise, you can get on the road just to the west. Pizza Hut is close enough to walk to, while other food takes a bike ride or a short drive. Gary lives on site and greets you and checks you in. It’s an older motel, but clean and well furnished, with good TV and internet. The bathroom and shower were very clean and updated.

A perfectly fine, no-frills motel with a vintage style. Our room was clean and had a microwave and fridge, and parking was good, with a spot for each room. We had a little trouble getting the Wi-Fi connected.
