I was glad to find filling, high-quality food at the bistro, especially the salmon, which was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. My clean, comfortable room and the beautiful, uplifting grounds gave me plenty of chances to relax and enjoy the mountain views. The mountain setting, well-kept facilities, and friendly staff at Sophia Retreat Center made me feel at ease right away. It was a truly nourishing stay.

We arrived late at night and were welcomed warmly. The family-run place was friendly, clean, comfortable, and well maintained, and the price was very reasonable. Our group of four had a family room with plenty of space, and it was just right for us. We found this retreat because avalanches stopped us from driving through to Telluride. If we'd known about it sooner, we'd have planned a stop here even with the roads open. Sophia Retreat was better than we expected.

The breakfast was delicious, and we loved eating in the sunny room with its wonderful view. The house is large and feels very authentic, and the area around it is peaceful and quiet. Staff were attentive while still giving us privacy. We had a very pleasant stay at the Sophia Retreat.

The setting was beautiful, the rooms were clean, and breakfast was dynamite. The fan did squeak, though.

Maddie was so kind and accommodating when we checked in late, and the staff made us feel at home from booking right through checkout. Every detail at Sophia's helped make the stay special. Such a charming lodge, and I'm glad we stumbled across it. Can't wait to come back.
