Baymont by Wyndham Dothan

The lobby’s Christmas decorations made me want to sit down and open presents. There was so much holiday cheer, and the cozy, clean feel made the stay special. It’s a small place at first glance, but it has a huge heart. The staff were kind, amazing, and so courteous from the moment I arrived. This has become my home away from home, and I wish Christmas could last all year. I can’t wait to return.

The reception staff were kind and helpful, and the price was good for the area, which seemed well lit and safe. It’s a remodeled, old Holiday Inn style building with two floors and parking right by the rooms. You enter straight into the sleeping area, with the bathroom at the far end. Rooms were neat and clean, with new TVs. Breakfast was pretty fair, though there’s a Waffle House next door if you’d rather eat there.

I stayed from Monday to Wednesday for work, then needed to wait until about 6 PM on Wednesday for my coworker to pick me up. Divya at the front counter let me extend checkout until 3 without a late fee. She even helped bring my bags to my room, and let me leave my belongings in the office while I waited in the lobby. She went above and beyond to make me comfortable. I really enjoyed the stay.

The bed was really comfortable, and we ate breakfast at the hotel. We didn’t use the amenities, but the room had toiletries, including shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion, plus enough towels for both of us.
