Best Western Douglas Inn & Suites

Haley checked us in and was lovely, very knowledgeable, and made us feel looked after throughout the visit. The rooms were large and clean, and the breakfast had enough variety that even my picky grandson found something he liked. My one suggestion is to add a soft pillow top to the mattress. We found the stay better than we expected for the price, a happy surprise after a long day of travel. I’ll definitely recommend it.

I stay here for work and spend a lot of money, so I’d hoped for better accommodations. The ice machine on the main floor has been out of service for more than 3 years, which means going upstairs for ice. Housekeeping changed my bedding and cleaned the room, but the comforter they said was clean had blood stains. The one they removed from my bed had no stains. They also left towels with what looked like ink stains, and wouldn’t give me another comforter because they said it was the sheets that were dirty.

Breakfast is served every morning, and it’s clear that people take pride in their work. Thanks to everyone, from maintenance and the front desk to housekeeping, cooks, and managers. They all put in a real effort to keep the place running smoothly, and I appreciate it.

The only real issue for me was the AC. It was excessively loud even on low, though I didn’t report it, so maybe it was just my room. The TV isn’t smart, but it has lots of channels, and apparently most hotels don’t have smart TVs these days. The location is very good, it’s quiet, and the staff are friendly. I loved the breakfast, and the price seemed fair given all that. I’d definitely stay again.
