Quality Inn Dry Ridge

The beds were firm, and I liked the soft sheets and comfy blankets. The room was clean, though the furniture felt dated. We came Dec 25th -the 28th to visit the Ark Experience. When we arrived around 5pm on the 25th, the hotel was very dark, with no lights out front, on the sign, or in the parking lot. I knew the building was older, but seeing lots of holes in the floors beneath the carpets made me unsure about their condition. The shower only got warm, even after I tried four times for hot water. We told the front desk and the guy just shrugged, so it seemed like they turn the water heaters down. I was disgruntled because I love a hot shower. Three stars.

The interstate noise kept me from sleeping well, and I'm a light sleeper. I should've asked for a room on the other side. All eight pillows smelled awful too. Maybe they got scorched in an industrial dryer, or maybe that was BO. The staff were friendly, breakfast was great, and the location was excellent.

The accessible room's bed was so high that getting into it was a struggle. I can't see how someone using a wheelchair is supposed to manage it. I also woke up to find my purse and everything in it soaked after leaving it on the floor by the couch. There seems to have been a leak overnight, and management said this happens sometimes. It took three hours for someone to vacuum it up, and by day two it was wet again. There was feces on the bathroom hand rail. I added a picture, but somehow it isn't showing. It also looked like the room hadn't been dusted in quite a while.

In 2019, my aunt and uncle stayed here, and my aunt said the people had been so nice to my uncle. She likes to stop here when passing through. This time, in 2025, we stayed one night that turned into two, and I agree with her. The people were amazing, the rooms very clean, and the beds extremely comfortable. I'd definitely stay again.
