Quality Inn And Suites Dublin

We stayed here last year and it was in decent shape, but this time there were no clean rooms ready at 4:30, even though check-in was at 2, and no housekeeping staff to clean one. The manager, an elderly man, seemed eager to cancel our reservation rather than clean a room himself. We accepted his offer and went elsewhere. The lobby was filthy, had stacks of papers behind the counter, and smelled strongly of smoke. The parking lot had lots of large potholes, and the bushes were dead or untrimmed. I can’t believe earlier guests hadn’t warned people about the hotel’s condition. No more.

It’s a cheaper hotel, but the woman running it was top notch. She was courteous, everywhere, and made the stay nice.

My stay itself was fine, apart from check-in, and I did get upgraded to a king room because the queen rooms were still being cleaned. I’ve stayed several times over the past year or so, and the usual desk manager has always kept things running smoothly. This time her daughter was apparently working, on the phone with her mom sorting out some issue. Later I heard there was an alarm going off, though I hadn’t heard it. I stood there awkwardly for several minutes before asking if I could check in. Ignoring a guest like that felt very unprofessional. I hope the mom comes back. I could tell there was some upheaval. I also hadn’t realized the older man sitting in the lobby was the manager, though I’d seen that mentioned in another review.
