There’s plenty to do here, especially in the warmer months, though winter has a lot going on too. My favorite is backpocket, with food, drinks, and games for the whole family. It’s a really nice part of town with great small businesses. Free parking is limited unless you’re willing to walk a few blocks, which is rough in winter.

The building may look nice in photos, but it wasn’t designed well for a mix of commercial and residential use, and the renovation quality was poor. The worst issue is that floors and ceilings aren’t waterproof. If an upstairs neighbor spills something or anything leaks above, it pours into your apartment. That happened to us five times over 1.5 years. Management’s response was, “it’s an old building.” Living above the event spaces means the music shakes everything in your apartment. The interior courtyard has a sports bar, with noise from the outdoor bar and big-screen TV as well. I wouldn’t recommend living here.

It’s a safe, clean place to live, and parking is okay. They offer paid parking, and it isn’t that expensive. Along with the apartments, there are restaurant bars, a rentable ballroom for events, and a comedy club. It’s surrounded by all kinds of fun things to do, so it’s a great spot if you want entertainment and a place to live.

It was good, we loved it. First time here, and we’ll be back.

I’m updating this years later because my earlier review didn’t capture how awful it was living here. The staff may have turned over many times since then, but the people I dealt with were rude, condescending, and unhelpful. They didn’t fix things. On the second floor, the wedding venue made the apartment shake so much that things fell off tables. On the fifth, the roof leaked and was never fixed while I lived there. Rain meant constant dripping into my bedroom and living room, with mold everywhere. There was no soundproofing, so you could hear neighbors on every side, even whispering. There were also management communication problems and a roof leak that affected most of the fifth floor and was never repaired. Living here was a terrible experience. I wouldn’t recommend it.
