Sheraton Duluth Hotel

The front desk staff are always great, and I like this hotel apart from the bar service. Wine is $14+ a glass, the glasses often have cloudy water stains, and the bartender consistently gives very small pours. I could overlook the other issues if the pour were better, but it's the smallest I've ever had.

The staff were nice, and the older hotel was clean. Our room was a good size, though its fridge was so small that there was barely room for anything. The hot tub and the TV in our room didn't work, and there's no lobby coffee, so you have to make your own or sit in the restaurant in the morning. Parking was hard to figure out. After this experience, I wouldn't pay what the hotel charges to stay here again.

My wife and I had a wonderful stay. The room was clean, getting around was easy, and the staff were exceptional. We had paid for hot chocolate to be in the room when we arrived, but it was forgotten during a busy day. Less than a week later, the Sheraton sent us a box with hot chocolate mix, homemade cookies, candy, and a handwritten card. I’m still surprised by that kind of thoughtfulness. They went above and beyond.

It wasn't a bad stay, but it wasn't great either. The fridge barely fits the smallest food containers, and using a microwave costs extra. There’s very little space to hang clothes. Parking is a bit of a walk, which was okay for us but could be hard for other guests. The nearby hospital also means multiple sirens every day. We've had better stays at other Marriott hotels, and this one felt pretty mediocre.
