My husband and I came for the Southeast Reptile Expo, exactly a mile away, and I'd book this motel again. I was skeptical because it was the cheapest option, but it was a pleasant surprise. The room was very clean, spacious because it was accessible for people with disabilities, and had everything we needed. My only possible complaint is that the motel could use an upgrade from its spring beds.

For a night or even a week, this is a nice place to stay for the money. I'm used to places like the crown hotel, which are more for special occasions, but the staff here are friendly and helpful. More than that, they leave you alone while you're there, which I like. It is a motel, though in some ways it feels like a hotel, and there's no deposit fee. Lol.

Once we finally got into the room, it was filthy. There was a reddish-brown mark on the floor that looked disturbingly like dried blood, the bathroom wasn't clean, the A/C kept cutting out and barely cooled the hot, stuffy room, and the TV didn't work. For what we paid, the dirty room and broken basics were unbelievable. Getting there was a mess too. I changed the guest name so my husband could check in early with our one-year-old while I was at a show and wouldn't arrive until after midnight. The system confirmed the change twice, but the hotel refused to honor it and was rude to my husband at the desk. When I stepped out of the event to call, the staff were just as rude and dismissive, insisting changes couldn't be made despite the confirmations. My husband had to drive around downtown Atlanta with an exhausted toddler until I arrived. Between that, the staff's treatment, and the room problems, this was by far one of our worst hotel experiences. Completely unacceptable from start to finish.

The room itself was fine, but a car in the handicapped spot outside kept disturbing us. It was extremely loud on purpose, often vibrating the whole room, and woke us at all hours: morning, noon, night, and overnight. We came for the Lego event at Gas South. On the second day my boyfriend asked if anything could be done. The woman said people had complained about it for a long time, but the manager couldn't act because the people lived there. That's a ridiculous excuse when they chose to make their car so loud. Never again. I won't go back, and you shouldn't either.

I wouldn't recommend this hotel. I stayed one night, and it wasn't worth the price. There was a strange smell as soon as I entered the building, and the hallways and stairwell smelled odd as well. The room had chipped paint on the ceiling and bathroom walls, plus a rusty toilet paper holder. The phone didn't work, I couldn't get Netflix working on the TV over the Wi-Fi, and I had no control over the AC.
