The toilet had dried, crusted feces smeared near the handle, which I saw when I went to shower. Completely unsanitary. The floors were so dirty my socks turned grey, and the bathroom was not maintained. Holiday Inn Dumas, TX was one of the dirtiest hotels I’ve ever entered. The pool was dark green, with a thick film on top. A coffee spill sat in the lobby while staff stepped around it and chatted, with no sign or cleanup. The ice machine leaked into the hallway, and a guest put down a towel because employees didn’t bother. In the breakfast area, a guest reported spilled juice, but the workers stayed seated. Staff seemed more focused on eating and talking than cleaning tables or helping guests, and they didn’t greet people coming in. When we went to pay, they had the wrong room for us. Military families and anyone passing through should keep driving. This place isn’t maintained or clean, and it’s not worth the risk. Photos attached.

This was probably our only bad stay at a Holiday Inn Express. The beds were nice as usual, but the room wouldn’t really cool down, and our first room had no shade to block the parking lot lights. Several bathroom items hadn’t been cleaned properly, and there was no mat for stepping out of the shower. In the morning, the dining area was full of flies and many tables were dirty. The staff there were unprofessional. It just didn’t meet Holiday Inn standards.

The room was recently remodeled and clean, and check-in was quick, efficient, and easy. Breakfast was the usual Holiday Inn Express spread, with automated coffee machines. A nice Holiday Inn Express, as expected.

We had to switch from another motel down the street at the last minute, and the people at Holiday Inn got a room ready for us. It was big and spacious, and I really liked the new look. My kids enjoyed the pool, and we thought breakfast was great. Thanks for everything.

The bed was nice, the pillows were comfortable, and the room was spacious. The staff were friendly, but not very accommodating when I asked for a top-floor room. The AC unit was so loud I couldn’t hear the TV, and I didn’t sleep well, which was disappointing. It’s also weird that the bathroom has no exhaust fan.
