Holiday Inn Scranton East - Dunmore by IHG

The pool area was the one downside: it's not fully enclosed, so sound carries. We could hear people and kids in the pool after 11 pm because our room was down the hall, and I imagine a room right next to it would be much louder. If the guests had been considerate that night, I'd probably have given five stars. The rest was great: a clean, modern hotel with spacious rooms, helpful and very nice staff, and a pleasant bar area to sit and relax.

Corey always makes sure our organization has what it needs when we meet at the hotel. The food and drinks are great, too. Management and staff are excellent: professional, responsive, and genuinely attentive to guests. You can see that leadership in how smoothly things run and how friendly everyone is. Definitely recommend!

We'd recently dealt with bed bugs at another hotel chain, so Jen kindly let us inspect the room before we made a reservation and understood why we wanted to check. She helped make our stay excellent. The hotel is spacious and welcoming, and our room was clean and comfortable. We'll use this location again. Thank you, Jen.

After a long drive I was starving and ready for a good drink, and Jen behind the bar made the overnight stay feel amazing. She greeted us with a big smile and such an easy, funny personality. Her one-liners were great, and her recommendations were spot-on. The drinks were fantastic, and the soy salmon with rice she suggested was a knockout. She asked what I liked and found just the right dish for me. That kind of care is rare. I'd give Jen 100 stars if I could, and we'll stay here on future trips as long as she's behind the bar.
