The Kent Collection - The Firefly Inn

We went for a nice hike at Kent falls after checking out, and it wasn’t far from the Kent Collection Firefly Inn. For dinner the night before, we ate at the Fife and Drum just down the road. The shared space was beautiful, cozy, and inviting, with snacks, tea, and coffee. Our room had a comfortable bed, fireplace, and TV for watching movies in bed. The next morning there was a simple breakfast, or a snack to take along.

I stayed at the Firefly Inn three times this fall, and the staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. Keli, the inn Keeper, was ready to do whatever she could to make the stay enjoyable, and changes to my dates and arrival times were handled gracefully. I enjoyed coffee and breakfast in the sunny breakfast room, and spent one afternoon working in the beautiful dining room when work and weather kept me inside. The rooms are cozy, beautifully appointed, and filled with lovely light from the windows. A wonderful oasis, and nothing else in the area will touch it.

The Bunk House was decorated for the holidays, right down to an adorable Christmas tree, and it was so cozy I didn’t want to leave. I could have spent the afternoon reading by the fireplace or roasting s’mores at the fire pit. It’s dog friendly, with a yard the pups loved, a spot for them to curl up by the fire, and even a plush alcove “bedroom” for dog visitors. In the heart of Kent, it’s steps from boutiques, quaint eateries, Wilson’s for coffee and morning or afternoon treats, and 45 on Main for gourmet hot chocolate. Kent Falls is a quick drive for hiking and views. Keli and Joseph made the stay extra special with their welcoming manner. Kent Collection is a favorite getaway.

We can’t wait to return to The Kent Collection. Keli, the innkeeper, welcomed us warmly and went above and beyond. The rooms are spotless, beautifully designed, and full of thoughtful touches that make you feel at home. The location is ideal, just steps from Kent’s shops, restaurants, and scenic spots. The hospitality and attention to detail make this a standout place, whether you’re here for a quiet break or to explore the area.
