Embassy Suites by Hilton Atlanta Perimeter Center

The room was spacious and nice, but there were a few drawbacks. The AC barely cooled it: we set it to 65° and it only reached 76°. The lighting is cozy but too dim when you need more. The pool was just okay and smaller than the photos suggest, and on a busy weekend you may wait a long time for an elevator. Still, the location is great, breakfast was great, and the staff were wonderful. I’d probably return, but if the AC is still struggling, I’ll ask for a refund. In Atlanta, 76° is too warm for a room.

The breakfast had lots of delicious choices, and our favorite extra was happy hour with snacks and drinks. The beautiful, family-friendly hotel has a striking solarium-style center that feels welcoming and draws you into the shared space. Our rooms were comfortable, and the staff responded well when we called about noisy neighbors. The walls are thin, though: next door guests played music late both nights, and one night their yelling woke us at 3 a.m. Our first impression was rough after a 15-hour drive. The room wasn’t ready for our family of four, and it took several calls to get things sorted. The toilet wasn’t working properly, we had only two towels, no washcloths, one hand towel, and half a roll of toilet paper. The pool looked nice but was too cold for the kids, and the hot tub was murky with an unusual color. It seems like a good fit for sports teams or social groups that want a place to gather.

Our one-night birthday stay at the Perimeter location was so good that my daughter is already talking about celebrating here again next year. The girls had connected rooms for movies, snacks, and facials, while the moms relaxed with wine and Netflix. We barely needed to leave: the indoor pool, food, and bar were downstairs, and even the glass elevator was a hit. My daughter said it was the best birthday ever. The staff made the whole visit. Tangela arranged the room setup and a birthday snack basket. Prineisha let us use the pool while we waited for our room and kept us supplied with towels. Rivey and Susan helped with presents and waters, and Heaven and Kayla made sure we were all set at checkout and the girls could have one last swim. The complimentary happy hour drink was a nice touch, and breakfast was incredible, with lots of options and a made-to-order egg station for omelets and eggs your way. Everyone at Embassy Suites Perimeter took great care of us. I’d especially recommend it for a preteen birthday.

The location was excellent, breakfast was genuinely tasty, and housekeeping kept our room in great shape. But the front desk experience was so unprofessional that we won’t return. I checked in early and left an extra key, car tag, and drink card for my fiancé so his arrival would be easy. When he got there, a male staff member dismissed him and insisted I hadn’t checked in, even though my fiancé was on the reservation and had the room number. He was asked for his card information again and treated like he didn’t belong. It felt like the employee either hadn’t checked what I left or was being lazy, and chose to restart the process instead of admitting a mistake. That points to poor training. A friend had a similar problem with a different female employee, who said she couldn’t find his reservation. Another employee found it easily, but the first woman rolled her eyes and looked angry rather than apologizing. There seemed to be no accountability or basic hospitality training. The pool was also being cleaned during guest hours, when it was supposed to be open. Cleaning should happen while it’s closed. For a stress-free stay and professional service, I’d look elsewhere.
