The Rochester Hotel

This was a great getaway for my husband and me. The room was very clean and updated, and we loved the gas fireplace, cozy couch, and throw blanket. We could walk to dinner, and they gave us two complimentary drinks at Lola’s House. The food was amazing. Great location, and we'll be back.

Dominic and Alex were such accommodating, people-pleasing hosts, and communication was immediate. The room was immaculate, with high-end products, and the modern furnishings had an old-world feel. They have a room or suite to fit your needs, and the location is great, just one block from downtown. I don't usually write reviews, but after our stay at the Leland House I felt I had to. It was the best property of our two-week vacation in Colorado.

We stayed in the Pittman Suite from October 14-17, 2025, with my parents, who are 81 and 78. One of my parents has mobility and cognitive issues, which matters for this review. Leland House made a wonderful stay feel effortless, and we didn't want for anything. When we needed fresh towels outside normal housekeeping hours, I texted the staff and they showed up. Asking for an extra 5-10 minutes to check out was no problem either. The hosts were so responsive and kind that it made herding my cats much easier. The downtown location and amenities were top-notch. We'll stay here again when we're in Durango. Thank you!

I spent four nights in one of the studio rooms at the Leland House and had a wonderful stay. The room was on the small side, but it felt cozy and had everything I needed. I even worked there the whole time without any Wi-Fi or noise problems. The location made it easy to walk to lots of great spots. Communication was great, everyone was kind and responsive when I had questions or needed a later checkout, and both check-in and checkout were easy. I'd absolutely stay again.
